In her first report dated July 12, Roopa had stated that AIADMK (Amma) leader V K Sasikala, who is serving a sentence in a disproportionate assets case, was given a separate cell with a kitchen after she paid a bribe of Rs 2 crore to prison staff including Sathyanarayana Rao himself, while Abdul Karim Telgi, a convict in the fake stamp paper racket, had many privileges, including inmates who acted as personal aides. Roopa had alleged that two crore rupees had changed hands for providing additional facilities to AIADMK general secretary, V K Sasikala, who is now lodged in Parappana Agrahara jail.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday had ordered a probe into the allegations levelled by D. Roopa.
"I welcome the reporting of corruption in the system, but Roopa is going to the media before raising it in the police department. But, repeatedly approaching the media is prohibited and we have issued a notice to DIG (Prisons) Roopa for violating the rules". "I received the handy cam but there were no videos in it", she added. "But this video has been destroyed by some officials", she said. A few hours after Sathyanarayana Rao left, Roopa turned up along with a sub-inspector and examined CCTV footage and other records of her earlier visit to the prison.

Sasikala, a lifelong companion of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, has been in jail since February.
According to Roopa's report, Sasikala's wasn't the only beneficiary.
